WW2 decoy airfield for North Weald, designated as both Day site (K) and night site (Q) included grass runways, dummy aircraft, electric lights, and fires. Today all that remains is the buried Command post which has two rooms one being the control room with generator and steel door and the other being the crew room with escape hatch. The design is similar to a buried Nissen hut. The other building is a generator bunker built of brick and part earth covered. Two rooms again one being the generator room with machine bed the other being the crew room with escape hatch. Both buildings are now scheduled on private land.
